GREEN TWP, Ohio - Officials are searching for the suspect who robbed a Green Township bank Thursday morning.
A man robbed the Guardian Savings Banks, 5511 Harrison Avenue at about 10:40 a.m. and then fled the scene. This may be the suspect's second bank robbery in the last 10 days after a man with the same appearance and stature robbed a Cincinnati PNC bank Sept. 25, said Hamilton County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Steve Barnett.
On Thursday, the suspect implied he had a gun during the robbery and handed a female teller a note that demanded cash, according to Barnett. Authorities have not yet said how much money he stole from the bank.
No one was injured during the robbery and no customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, Barnett said.
Officials briefly put two nearby school on lockdown while they searched the area for the suspect. The schools were not in any danger and officials put the school on lockdown as a precaution, they said.
The suspect is described as a while male in his 30s who was wearing a gray shirt, blue pants, black and white gym shoes and sunglasses during the robbery.
If you have any information about the robbery, contact Green Township police at (513) 574-0007 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
