GREEN TOWNSHIP - Mercy Health West Hospital placed the final beams into place at the new Green Township campus on Monday.

The hospital hosted a "topping out" ceremony, as construction crews lowered the last beams onto the structure on North Bend Road in Green Township.

Jim May, the president and CEO of Mercy Health, said the hospital will provide more options for health care for Cincinnati's Westside.

"This is going to give full service to our Westside communities. We'll be full service heart, women's services, along with all the great services we always provided: emergency care, surgery. Full service medical care," said May.

The hospital is set to open in 2013.
