CINCINNATI -- A woman has been charged in
connection to a double fatal accident that occurred in Green
Township last week.
Michelle Knapp, 23, turned herself in to authorities on
Thursday after being charged with two counts of aggravated
vehicular homicide.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says Mary Kraus was
traveling westbound on I-74 when her Chevy Cavalier was struck from
behind by a Jeep Liberty driven by Knapp at 2:28 a.m. on Feb. 4.
The accident happened in the far right lane just west of
North Bend Road.
Kraus, 60, and her backseat passenger, Nicole Riddle, 27,
died from their injuries.
The front passenger, Wesley Kraus, 32, was treated and
released at University Hospital. Wesley Kraus, the driver's son,
was also the boyfriend of Riddle.
Investigators say alcohol and drugs are believed to be
factors in the crash.
No other information has been released at this time.
