Teen shot three times in South Fairmount

CINCINNATI - A teenager is fighting for his life after being shot three times in South Fairmount Saturday evening.

District 3 police officers responded to the 1600 block of Westwood Avenue around 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting in the area. Upon arriving at the scene, police located a young male who had been shot multiple times.

The suspects in the crime were last seen fleeing the scene in a black car that did not have tinted windows, police said. A description for individual suspects in the case was not provided by police.

The teenager, whose name has not been released by police, was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. 9 On Your Side has learned the victim was in surgery late Saturday evening.
