CINCINNATI - The doors at Roll Hill Academy in North Fairmount will be open Saturday, but there won't be any school work going on inside.
Compass Community Church is on a mission to complete a big homework project that will help families at the school.
The church pastor, Dorrien Hinsey, says his church will give out 400 turkey baskets to families at the school.
The basket giveaway will include a 12 pound turkey, stuffing, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, mash potato mix and cornbread.
Volunteers from the church will prepare the baskets from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Families will be able to take home baskets in the afternoon.
The church says it is eager to help Roll Hill Academy by providing Thanksgiving baskets to the families to encourage the students to continue making good grades, even though many are economically disadvantaged.
There will also be a variety of activities planned for the families including zumba, arts and crafts and other festivities.

The heat and humidity have returned to the region, and so has the ever despised backyard blood sucking pests. Whether flying through the air or dropping from a tree branch, mosquitos and ticks are in full force this Memorial Day weekend.
