CINCINNATI - A man was arrested Saturday evening after nearly crashing his SUV into a home in North Fairmount.
The driver, David O’Donnell, 43, of Columbus, Ohio, has been charged with failure to control and possession of heroin.
According to police, O’Donnell’s Ford Expedition sideswiped a parked car just before 7:30 p.m. and went over the curb onto the property located at 2616 Weron Lane. 9 On Your Side reporter Amy Wadas said the vehicle was only a few inches from crashing into the home at that address.
No one was injured as a result of the accident.
Police said the passenger inside the car at the time of the accident ran away from the scene. He is not currently being pursued by police.
Wadas spoke with someone inside the house at the time of the accident. The person, who wished to remain anonymous, said the accident shook the entire house.
Police said the accident was not weather related.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
