The home is described as a total loss, according to 9 On Your Side reporter Amy Wadas who was at the scene.

Mount Alverno Road is closed as a result of the fire and subsequent investigation. Wadas reports that the roadway could was closed for several hours.

The Delhi Township Fire Chief Bill Zoz told Wadas that the fire could have started somewhere in the basement. Chief Zoz also added that weather conditions made fighting the fire somewhat difficult.
