DELHI TWP., Ohio - A bag containing gym clothes and diapers found on a Metro bus Saturday afternoon led to a portion of Bender Road being closed for approximately two hours.

According to Delhi Township Fire Department, the Hamilton County Bomb Squad was asked to investigate a suspicious package found on a Metro bus traveling in the 6300 block of Bender Road in Delhi Township after 1 p.m.

A stretch of Bender Road was closed around 1:30 p.m. after a bag was found left under a seat aboard the bus, police report. The roadway remained closed until officials from the Delhi Township Fire Department and the Hamilton County Bomb Squad could determine the contents of the package.

Metro's policy is to call police when a suspicious or unattended item that is not immediately identifiable is found on a city bus, an official from Delhi Township Fire Department said.
