COLERAIN TWP, Ohio - It was a Valentine's Day to remember for all the wrong reasons for a Colerain Township woman.

Hamilton County sheriff's deputies say Kierra Reed, 22, attacked a man over his failure to give her a gift marking the day. Deputies were called to her apartment on Walden Glen Circle just before midnight on Tuesday and charged her.

9 News has learned through court records that Reed was "engaged in a verbal argument over the victim not getting [Reed] a gift for Valentine's Day."

Police say Reed then began to push and scratch him. So much, police say, that he had to flee to a bathroom where he locked himself inside.

With him inside, she allegedly threatened to kill and cut him. Even grabbing a kitchen knife and trying to cut through the door at one point, deputies say.

The relationship between Reed and the man is not known.  She was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of aggravate menacing Wednesday morning.
