Two hospitalized after early morning car accident in Colerain

COLERAIN, Ohio - Two people are hospitalized after a car accident in Colerain early Thursday morning.

Police said a vehicle crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Galbraith Road and Cheviot Road at approximately 1:40 a.m. Thursday.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with leg injuries.

The passenger in the vehicle sustained more serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mt. Airy.

The force of this accident caused broken wires to nearby traffic lights.

Police have not identified the occupants of the vehicle or what caused the accident.

Officials believe that alcohol may be a factor.
