CINCINNATI - Two suspects who police say have a long history of Cincinnati-area burglaries are behind bars Wednesday after officials caught up with them early Wednesday morning.
Colerain police arrested 41-year-old Robert Cunningham and 21-year-old Joshalyn Rutherford at about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday for six attempted burglaries and possessing criminal tools. Police arrested the pair, both of whom are from Woodlawn, after they attempted to gain entry into several homes in Colerain Township.
Officials say they believe Cunningham and Rutherford had a hand in dozens of home burglaries dating back to 2010 in both Hamilton and Butler counties. Authorities in Colerain, Springfield Township, Fairfield and Woodlawn are involved in an investigation with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to determine if the pair was involved in burglaries in the communities.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the local burglaries in hopes of adding extra charges for the two suspects.
Court dates have not yet been set for either suspect.
