CINCINNATI - An H&R Block in Colerain Township has flooded after a pipe burst Thursday afternoon.
The business, located in the 9800 block of Colerain Avenue, had a 4-inch water main that supplied the office's sprinkler system burst. An initial investigation found the water main had a malfunctioning heater that caused the pipes to freeze.
The main had over 2,000 gallons of water which reportedly leaked all over the office. Officials say no customer files were affected because they managed to save the server.
Authorities estimate there could be more than $100,000 in damage. In order to repair the building, officials say they will have to tear out all the drywall and replace the ceiling and furniture.
The business will remain closed until the renovations are complete, but H&R Block says there are other locations available in the Tri-State.
