Bullets strike Colerain Township apartment building following a fight between two groups

COLERAIN TWP, Ohio - A man is in police custody accused of firing multiple shots into a group of people following a fight at an apartment complex early Monday morning.

Officers from four departments responded to Ashley Woods Apartments located at 2300 Walden Glen Circle at about 2:30 a.m.

Police say a verbal argument between two groups of people got physical and a woman was punched in the face. Also, a suspect threw a rock through a front window of a nearby apartment.

That's when officers say a man came out from the apartment and started firing shots.

Those shots struck a car and a neighboring apartment building. The bullets pierced through the siding but did not go all the way through, according to police.

No one was injured.

Authorities have not released any additional information about at this time.
