Crash causes truck to overturn in Union

UNION, Ky. - A driver is hospitalized after he overturned his vehicle in Union, Ky., Wednesday morning.

A male driver was traveling southbound on Dixie Highway when he hit a telephone pole near the intersection of Dixie Highway and Frogtown Road at about 3:15 a.m. The crash caused his pickup truck to overturn and land on its top.

Emergency crews had to remove the man, whose name has not yet been released, from the truck and a medical helicopter transported him to an area hospital. Officials say his injuries are not life threatening.

Authorities have not released any additional details about the crash at this time.
