SILVER GROVE, Ky. - Crews are clearing the scene where a fire destroyed a Silver Grove mobile home early Tuesday morning.

Crews were called to the Green Valley Mobile Home Park located in the 5200 block of 4-Mile Road just after 3:30 a.m. Officials closed 4-Mile Road to traffic while crews fought the blaze.

When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed. It also damaged the siding on two nearby mobile homes.

No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation but firefighters say it appears to have started in the kitchen.

Assistant Fire Chief Greg Buckler said the owner was not home when the fire started. Buckler says the owner had been having problems with his furnace and met with a maintenance man on Monday.

Fire crews from around Campbell County assisted in fighting the flames.
