Police: Child, 7, struck by car in Villa Hills

VILLA HILLS, Ky. - A 7-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in Villa Hills, Ky. Friday night.

The incident happened in the 2000 block of Highwater Road between Riverview Farms Place and Appleblossom Drive around 5:42 p.m.

According to police, the driver, Brian Lewis, 35, of Appleblossom Drive, reported that the child ran out into the road in front of his vehicle, a 2002 red Acura.

The child was transported to Children's Hospital. His condition has not been released.

Police have not released any other details at this time.
