Police: Man tried to send nude photos to teen girl

COVINGTON, Ky. - A Florence man is facing charges for allegedly sending nude photos of himself to a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

It turns out the girl was an undercover police officer.

Now a Kenton County grand jury has indicted Ricky Dawson, 30, for trying to induce a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Commonwealth Attorney Rob Sanders said Dawson asked for an address to call a cab so the two can meet for sex.

Officers then arrested Dawson after finding him in the cab near the address.

He's being held at the Kenton County jail on a $2,500 bond.

In a separate case, the Kenton County grand jury also indicted an Eastern Kentucky man on the same charge. 

Sanders said Okie Short also sent nude photos of himself to an undercover cop thinking the officers was a teenage girl.

His arrest is still pending.
