Northern Kentucky man dies in motorcycle crash

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. - A Northern Kentucky man has died following a fatal motorcycle crash in Boone County Wednesday evening.

The incident happened on Interstate 75, just 13 miles outside of Georgetown, Ky. around 6:45 p.m.

Police say a 56-year-old Boone County man was traveling northbound on I-75 in a 2005 Honda Goldwing. The motorist left the north side of the road and struck an embankment, according to the police report.

The man was transported to Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Grant County where he was pronounced dead. The victim's name has not been released at this time.

Police say the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of crash.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
