NEWPORT, Ky. - There are several new locations to help residents who are less fortunate receive tax help in Northern Kentucky.
On Saturday, the Brighton Center kicked off their income tax preparation program called VITA which stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.
The free tax help took place at the Center for Employment Training at 601 Washington Avenue in Newport. It runs from Jan. 28 through April 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It's a new location this year but the same services are still being offered.
The Brighton Center is also assisting residents at the Florence One Stop at 8020 Veteran’s Memorial Drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 28 through April 14. In Williamstown, residents can go to One Stop Grant County at the old courthouse located at 101 North Main Street from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 through April 11.
