LUDLOW, Ky. - Officials say they think copper thieves are behind a Ludlow fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire started at a home under renovation in the 400 block of Linden Street around 12:45 a.m.

Officials noticed that copper was stolen from the home and believe the thieves exposed some live wires in the process, which may have started the fire.

Officials at the scene say the fire was small and put out quickly. Investigators will return to the home later Wednesday for further investigation.

No one was injured in the fire.

Officials have not yet released any additional details about the fire or the estimated cost of damage.
