HEBRON, Ky. - A Northern Kentucky man has been charged with killing his wife after her body was discovered inside their home on Friday.

The body of 48-year-old Linda Attwood was discovered inside the couple's home in the 3200 block of Limaburg Road shortly after 8 a.m.

For most of the day, investigators would only say that her death was suspicious. They spent most of the day going in and out of the couple's home.

Around 5 p.m. Friday , her husband, 48-year-old Daryl Attwood, was arrested and charged with murder, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Department.

Neighbors said they noticed the sirens early Friday morning.

”It was 8 a.m. and I heard the squad coming and it slowed down I thought it was going to stop here but there’s nobody here but us. So it went up the street and I walked down and looked and the squad people parked on the street, jumped out and run in,” said Bill Martz, a neighbor.

Deputies soon followed and put up crime scene tape around the home located just down the road from Conner Middle School.

John Collier, a friend, says the couple moved to Hebron from Boston within the last year.

”I’ve known them for about six months now and they are really nice people. I know their family was here last weekend, last week, and they seemed happy enough,” said Collier.

Attorney Rick Scott is representing Daryl Attwood and had this to say regarding his client, "He maintains his innocence.  He's told us that he did not do this.  That he awoke to find his wife in this condition.  He contacted 911. That he believes somebody else did it.  That it's not him."

Attwood is due in court on Monday morning for his arraignment.

The sheriff's department is not releasing any other information at this time.
