Dozens of flights canceled at CVG because of superstorm Sandy

HEBRON, Ky. - Dozens of flights have been canceled at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport because of superstorm Sandy and more planes are expected to be grounded Tuesday as the storm's aftermath is felt across the East Coast.
About 7,700 flights were canceled in the United States Monday, and 4,800 more flights were canceled for Tuesday, according to www.flightaware.com . Tuesday's numbers are expected to grow as the storm moves inland.
Both of New York City's airports, JFK International Airport and LaGuardia Airport were shut down Monday at 8 p.m. The airlines have been moving their planes away from the east coast since Sunday.
Dayton International Airport also expects to have delays and cancelations.
The Communications Center at Louisville International Airport said it has not been notified of any flight disruptions as of Monday night.
