FORT WRIGHT, Ky. - Police are hoping an autopsy will give them more clues after a body was found in Banklick Creek in Ft. Wright Sunday afternoon.

A contract worker painting the I-275 overpass near Eaton Drive spotted the body of a white male next to a grassy island in the creek around 4 p.m., said Sgt. Mark Schworer of the Fort Wright Police Department.

Schworer said the body did not have any identification or any signs of foul play. The victim is approximately 5-foot-8-inches tall, has a black panther tattoo on his left leg above the ankle and has a full set of upper dentures and no lower teeth. He was wearing blue work pants with a leopard print belt.

At this time the cause of death is undetermined pending the final results of the autopsy.
Officials have not released any additional details at this time.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Fort Wright Police Department at (859)331-2191 or Erlanger 24-hour Dispatch (859)727-2424.
