FLORENCE, Ky. - A Florence woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle Saturday night.

Boone County Sheriff's Office says 24-year-old Brooke Chance along with her husband Kyle Chance, 29, and Kelsey Ryan, 21, were walking eastbound alongside Donaldson Road after leaving the Mary, Queen of Heaven Church Festival, located at 1150 Donaldson Road in Erlanger.

Deputies say while walking to their car from the festival, the three were hit by a car.

Emergency crews transported Brooke to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died at the hospital on Sunday. Brooke was the mother of an 8-month-old daughter.

Kyle and Ryan sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle that hit them did not sustain any injuries.

The accident is still under investigation by the sheriff's office.
