ERLANGER, Ky. - Former Clermont County Commissioner Archie Wilson remains a wanted man Thursday morning in Kenton County on charges of soliciting a prostitute and trafficking drugs.
The woman who Wilson allegedly paid for sex in exchange for money and drugs is speaking out about what she says happened during her meetings with Wilson.
According to court documents, 26-year-old Amanda Lay, an inmate at the Clermont County Jail, came forward after she learned Wilson was a county commissioner. She saw a photo of him in a newspaper article last summer and told authorities about their sexual encounters.
In an interview with 9 News, Lay says she met with Wilson about two dozen times at three separate motels near Erlanger, including a Days Inn and Motel 6. She says the meetings would last 30 minutes to an hour. Lay also says they weren't always alone.
"I seen him about 10 to 20 times....I was far from prostituting. He wanted girls. I knew some girls that worked in clubs. So, he'd pay me cash or whatever," she said.
Lay says Wilson would have sex with her and other women or would watch them having sex.
"Just some guy that likes to get strange... every now and again, you know what I mean. I'm not like that. People just got their own flaws in life," said Lay.
Though Wilson is accused of giving Lay cocaine, she denies ever taking it.
"They put me out there like I am some big old prostitute having sex for drugs. And to tell you the truth, the drugs that he had I wouldn't have paid 5 cents for them, you know. Even if I did do pills," she said.
Lay says the meetings with Wilson started off once a week, but became as frequent as three times a week. She says Wilson paid her every time they met.
"[The money] paid my rent a couple of times. My cellphone bill. A couple of hundred here and there."
Documents say that Wilson allegedly made Lay book motel rooms under the fake name Tiffney Dee. An observant hotel clerk became suspicious of their meetings and gave Wilson's license plate number to police.
Authorities matched the plates to Wilson's plumbing company. Police then set up a sting with Lay, during which they recorded Lay and Wilson together.
Wilson resigned from his position as Clermont County Commissioner on Feb. 3.
He has yet to turn himself in to authorities and face charges.
