COVINGTON, Ky. - A chase that began in rural Kenton County, ends in the parking lot of a clothing store.

Saturday night police responded to reports of a driver who had hit three other vehicles but failed to stop.

Police say that man, 26-year-old Shawn Woods, then led them on a pursuit throughout the county.

Taylor Mill police put down stop sticks that blew out Woods' tires but he continued driving before surrendering in the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory in Covington.

According to the Kenton County Detention’s website, Woods has been charged with wanton endangerment, evading police, criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident.

He is currently being held on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to face a judge Monday.
