COVINGTON, Ky. - A new effort is under way to try and replace the aging Brent Spence Bridge.
A coalition called Build Our New Bridge Now will hold a press conference to unveil its new public education campaign.
For years, state and federal officials have talked about ways to raise money to build a replacement bridge. It's estimated to cost $2.7 billion.
A representative from Build Our New Bridge Now says every month that goes by means higher material and labor costs. The coalition said it believes in creating public and private partnerships to fund and finance project costs.
The organization will talk about its new campaign at a press conference on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Paul Brown Stadium.
