BURLINGTON, Ky. - The three men accused of brutally murdering and dismembering an alleged drug dealer were back in court Wednesday.
Jeffrey Allen, Anthony Baumgartner and Stephen Harkness pleaded not guilty. A pre-trial hearing was set for May 1.
A detective says the three admitted their role in killing and dismembering a 19-year-old Boone County man, and they say it was part of a master plan.
All three are charged with murder, kidnapping, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.
In January, they told police they lured Daniel Delfin into a fake drug deal, saying they were upset Delfin was selling heroin in Northern Kentucky.
Allen told police he beat Delfin to death in the back seat of a car while the other two were in the front seat. Then, they dumped his body in a field. They told police they returned the next day to dismember his body.
Police still haven't located all of Delfin's remains.
