KENTON COUNTY, Ky. - An Independence man accused of killing a couple in a car accident can keep his driver's license.
On Monday morning a judge ruled Richard Beers can keep his driving privileges .
Police say in August Beers ran a red light at the intersection of Kentucky 17 and Route 3035, crashing into Brian and Melissa Hehman’s car, which killed them.
The couple’s dog also died in the accident.
Beers face two counts of reckless homicide.
