Police investigating Southgate death as a homicide

SOUTHGATE, Ky. - Police are investigating a death in Southgate, Ky., as a homicide, according to a release issued Monday.

The body of a man was discovered at the Fox Chase Apartments complex on Moock Road in Southgate around 12:20 a.m on Feb. 28. The victim was later identified as David Sellers, 66, of Fox Chase Drive in Southgate.

Police were on the scene for more than eight hours before removing the body, saying they were dispatched there to check on a person who had not been heard from for several days.

Authorities say the victim died as the result of blunt force trauma to the head.

No other details were disclosed at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
