Corey Nida case: N.Ky. man accused of molesting 11-year-old girl due in court

BURLINGTON, Ky. - A Northern Kentucky man is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning for charges that he sexually molested an 11-year-old girl.

Corey Nida, 25, was arrested by Boone County sheriff's deputies at his home near Florence in February after he allegedly molested the 11-year-old over the six months prior.

Nida is charged with rape, sexual abuse and sodomy.

Sexual abuse is punishable by 5-10 years in prison. Rape and sodomy are each punishable by 20-50 years in prison.

Nida is scheduled to appear in a Boone County courtroom for his pre-trial conference at 9 a.m.
