FAIRFAX, Ohio - A woman who had been on the run since May after being indicted for stealing more than $200,000 from her employer has been caught.

As a human resources manager, Cathleen Schmid allegedly stole roughly $220,000 from Dominion Liquid Technologies of Fairfax between the years of 2008-2011.

A spokeswoman for the Hamilton County Prosecutor's office told 9 News that Schmid is alleged to have filled out fake expense reports in order to be reimbursed by the company.

She is also reported to have used company funds to pay third party businesses she owed money to.

An internal office audit found the discrepancies and officials with the company contacted the Fairfax Police Department.

Dominion Liquid Technologies makes flavored syrups, pancake syrups, mixers and energy drinks.

Schmid remains behind bars at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
