MADISON TWP., Ohio - Several surrounding fire departments managed to extinguish a house fire in Madison Township, which forced residents inside to escape Monday morning.
Authorities in Madison Township said a house in the 3100 block of Radabaugh Avenue was evacuated after a fire ignited at approximately 4 a.m. in the kitchen. The fire spread to the back of the home, where the flames were the strongest, fire officials said. No injuries have been reported.
Fire crews remain on scene to determine a cause and to extinguish any remaining hot spots. The American Red Cross has been dispatched to assist the displaced residents and firefighters.
In addition to the Madison Township fire department, crews from Monroe, Trenton and St. Clair Township also assisted in fighting the blaze.
