Police searching for Middletown stabbing suspect

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - A stabbing victim is in critical condition following an incident in Middletown Sunday morning.

Police responded to a call after 1 a.m. Sunday at the Take a Break Lounge and found a white male in the parking lot with a stab wound to his chest.

Police say the suspect is a black man between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 who was wearing a black shirt with white stripes and khaki shorts. Police say the suspect and the victim had an altercation in the bar, and the suspect fled on foot after stabbing the victim.

A K-9 track led officers to a wooded area to the west of the parking lot. Officers were unable to track the suspect further.

The victim was taken by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton and is in critical condition.
