MIDDLETOWN, Ohio - A Middletown High School employee has been charged after allegedly having a sexual encounter with a student.
Police say Elmon Jamil Prier, 39, had a sexual encounter with an adult student off of school property while he was employed as a hall monitor two years ago.
Prier has been charged with two counts of sexual battery.
In addition to a hall monitor, Prier has reportedly served as a substitute teacher and a teacher's aide with Middletown schools.
Prier was placed on administrative leave from Middletown schools with pay. His next scheduled court date has not been released.
Police have not released any further information about the incident.
