MASON, Ohio - You can help bring Christmas cheer to those who are serving our nation.
For the second year in the row, Mueller Parker Funeral Home is participating in the Veterans & Memorial Care Christmas Stockings for Soldiers initiative.
Individuals, classrooms, scouts and other groups are invited to fill a stocking that will later be shipped to soldiers overseas.
Stockings can be taken to the funeral home located at 6791 Tylersville Road in Mason by Nov. 16.
Some recommended items for stocking stuffers include: candy canes, chewing gum, batteries, toiletries, playing cards, magazines and books.
The funeral home asks that stockings are either stitched closed or placed in a clear plastic bag to keep items from falling out. Mueller Park Funeral Home will also send stockings to local soldiers, if contact information is provided.
A $3 donation is requested to cover shipping and handling costs.
If you decide to decorate the stocking, please do not use glitter.
