MASON, Ohio - Police in Mason continue to search for a man who they say sexually assaulted a boy inside a Kings Island restroom.
A woman reported the alleged assault on her 7-year-old son at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
A sketch of the suspect, which was released Wednesday afternoon, shows a man with a mustache and shoulder-length hair.
Authorities say they are working to identify the man in the sketch and will release more information as it becomes available.
9News spoke to parents at the park Wednesday night. While speaking highly of park security they still wanted more information about the alleged attack.
"I feel very comfortable here but I want to know the details of what happened and what type of assault it was," said Kim Bowling.
"I think they handle security fine," said Bill Hagerty, MD of Centerville, "I've never really had a worry in the world here."
"If a child was assaulted what happened?" asked Annette Ward, "Is it something specific that we should be told?"
Kings Island Public Relations Manager Don Helbig released this statement Wednesday regarding the incident.
"At approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 3, 2011, a mother reported to Mason police that her juvenile son was assaulted at Kings Island. The Mason Police Department and Kings Island are working together diligently to ascertain the identity of the suspect. Kings Island has a long established history of providing a safe, secure and family-friendly environment and takes this allegation very seriously. The Mason Police Department will release further information as it becomes available."
