Hundreds turn out for memorial bike ride that benefits Sgt. Brian Dulle's family

MASON - More than two hundred bike riders revved their engines Saturday morning to help the family of the Warren County Sheriff's Deputy killed in the line of duty.

The "Ride For The Dulles" began at the Powder Keg Harley Davidson store just off I-71 in Mason. Sgt. Brian Dulle was killed while trying to stop a suspect during a high speed chase on May 10.

Saturday's ride and auction benefits Dulle's wife and three young children and a non profit organization called "Maddie's Hope." It's named after Dulle's daughter who is a cancer survivor. The group helps other families fighting childhood cancer.

The 60 mile ride took motorcyclists to Cowan Lake. Upon their return, they drove by the spot where Dulle as killed at the intersection of U.S. 42 and Utica Road to pay their respects.

Saturday's outpour of support overwhelmed organizers. "It gives you goosebumps because people are giving from the bottom of their hearts. It means a lot," said Gail Corrill, organizer.

Besides the ride, the event also raised money through a raffle and auction of donated items.
