Couple sentenced to 8 years for having sex with teen

LEBANON, Ohio - A south Lebanon married couple learned their fate Thursday for their role in engaging in sex acts with a minor and video taping it.

Judge Neal Bronson sentenced Benjamin and Leah Rodgers to eight years in prison after the couple pled guilty to 14 counts of sexual battery and pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor related to their role in having sex with a juvenile on a multiple occasions.

Prosecutors say the incidents happened between January and July of this year and that the Rodgers also videotaped the acts. They also say the couple was acquainted with the juvenile, who was the same victim in each of the charges.

The Rodgers pled guilty to those 14 charges back in October, not because they agreed with the charges but because they didn't want to put the teenager through trial, their attorney said.

They faced a maximum of 68 years in prison.
