FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - House Speaker John Boehner is in his district of Southwest Ohio Monday visiting small businesses to talk about job creation.
Boehner's first stop was at Innovative Labeling Solutions, a Fairfield Township business that prints labels for products. He met with company leaders and took a tour of the plant.
The people who run ILS said the visit from the speaker is, "A fabulous day in the history of our company."
ILS Director of Development Eric Knop said the company grew when other companies in the United States were crumbling because of the economy.
ILS invested in equipment and has almost doubled its staff over the last five years. It currently employs 58 people.
The president of ILS told Boehner that small businesses need less regulation to be successful.
"We need government to stay out of our way," said Jay Dollres. "When we have to try to compete, being a business of 58 people, with businesses that have thousands of people, we have the same regulations that we have to adhere to and that's a difficult thing for a small business to adhere to."
Boehner's next stop was at a business in Greenville, Ohio.
