HAMILTON, Ohio - Authorities have identified a man who was shot and flown to the hospital Thursday morning in Hamilton.

Donald Knapp, 43, of Hamilton, remains at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after being allegedly shot in the face by Pamela Jean Dawson at approximately 10 a.m. at 1331 Campbell Ave., police said.

Hamilton police detectives arrested Dawson in connection to the shooting and she was charged with felonious assault.

Knapp suffered injuries to his nose and mouth, according to the police report. Dawson allegedly used a handgun in the incident.

The details or motive surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
