HAMILTON, Ohio - Some are calling it “Hollywood in Hamilton” after a new social enterprise is looking to bring movie making to the area.

Film Hamilton has two goals: to get cameras rolling and to raise money for local station “TvHAMILTON.” The group says they want a piece of Ohio’s $113 million film industry in Butler County.

Their plan is to partner with local businesses to promote their services in downtown Hamilton.

"If you put a peg in the center of downtown Hamilton, within a 20-mile radius you have every kind of location a filmmaker might want," said Steve Colwell, Executive Director of TvHAMILTON. "The goal is to bring them here and have them spend production money here.”

Film Hamilton says they plan on launching their first official marketing campaign later this year in November, but before then, they plan on introducing the idea to local businesses on Oct. 19th.
