Boy treated for non life-threatening injuries after being struck by train in Hamilton

HAMILTON, Ohio -- An 11-year-old boy is being treated at a local hospital after being struck by a train Saturday afternoon.

According to police dispatch, the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. along Joe Nuxhall Boulevard in Hamilton while the boy was walking along train tracks in the area. The boy tripped and fell and was then struck by the train, police said.

Employees at a nearby business, Hamilton Precision, saw the boy and called 911.

The boy was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital by ambulance to be treated for leg injuries. The boy's injuries were described as non-life threatening.

The name of the victim has not been released by police.
