HAMILTON, Ohio - Steven Haley, 30, will appear in court on Monday morning for allegedly murdering an infant.

Haley is charged with murder, child endangerment, and drug possession.

Police arrested Haley in April following the death of an infant in February. That 4-month-old infant, James Smith, was rushed to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital when he stopped breathing and had visible injuries and swelling on his brain.

The infant was Haley’s girlfriend’s son.

Haley remains in Butler County Jail awaiting a four-day bench trial, which will begin at 9 a.m.
