HAMILTON, Ohio - A jury has found Calvin McKelton guilty of the murders of two people.
McKelton, 33, of Bond Hill was convicted Thursday night with the 2008 strangling of his girlfriend, attorney Margaret "Missy" Allen of Fairfield, along with the murder of Germaine Evans, Sr., an alleged witness to Allen's murder.
McKelton, who goes by the nickname of 'C-Murder,' now faces a possible death penalty sentence.
A Cincinnati police detective testified during the trial that the condition of Allen's body was so severe, he could not recognize the body.
Reports say that defense attorneys did not call any witnesses to the stand during the week-long trial.
Defense attorney Melynda Cook said the prosecution had no physical evidence. Cook says DNA found under Allen's fingernails does not match McKelton or Evans.
Prosecutors say Evans helped McKelton dump Allen's body near Schmidt Field in Cincinnati after McKelton strangled her during an argument.
In 2009 Evans was found shot to death in a Mt. Auburn park.
A relative testified that Evans confided he saw McKelton choking Allen and then attempted to revive her. Evans also told the relative that McKelton tried to make it appear her house had been broken into before he then tried to set it on fire.
Several inmates at the Butler County Jail testified they heard McKelton discussing killing Allen and Evans.
McKelton's attorneys indicated he was seeing other women during the time frame of Allen's death.
McKelton was found guilty on counts of murder and domestic violence, but not guilty of an intimidation of a witness charge against one of Allen's relatives.
McKelton's sentencing is scheduled for Thursday.
