FAIRFIELD, Ohio - Police have identified the man who was found dead in a Fairfield creek Thursday morning and police are working to determine what led to his death.

Officials say the body of a 19-year-old Joseph William Oakley was found in a creek bed near 5001 Pleasant Avenue at about 8:15 a.m. The creek is in the Creekside Village Apartments.

Officials have not released information about what caused the death.

The Butler County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy Friday.

Officials have not released any additional details at this time.
