FAIRFIELD TWP., Ohio - A man was arrested after sheriff's deputies discovered a meth lab he was allegedly running in a wooded area near a Fairfield Township school.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office says around 4 p.m. Friday they discovered an active meth lab inside a backpack in a wooded area next to Fairfield Elementary School in the 6700 block of Morris Road.
Christopher Lee Bevins, 28, of Hamilton, Ohio, attempted to make his way toward the scene of the meth lab around the time that authorities discovered it, and was promptly arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and illegal assembly/possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office asks that anyone who might have additional information on the investigation or any other drug-related crimes to contact the Sheriff's Office at (513) 424-2456.
An arraignment date for Bevins has not been released.
