FAIRFIELD, Ohio - A Hamilton man was killed in a car accident on early Sunday morning.
Fairfield police responded to a traffic accident at approximately 1:20 a.m. Sunday on Ohio 4 at Camelot Drive.
Zachary Kreke, 27, of Fairfield, was traveling south on Ohio 4 in a pickup truck when he rear-ended a semi-tractor trailer that was also traveling south, according to officials.
The passenger of the pickup truck, Robert Gilreath, 27, of Hamilton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kreke was flown by medical helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and was taken into custody upon his release.
Police said Kreke was arrested for aggravated vehicular homicide.
The driver of the semi-truck, Robert Harding, was not injured.
