FAIRFIELD, Ohio - A man died in Fairfield this afternoon after his car went left of center and struck another vehicle head-on.

Fairfield police say a 66-year-old man, whose name has not been released pending notification of his family, crossed the centerline at about 1:20 p.m. while driving northbound on River Road and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people in the Tahoe, including two juvenile passengers, sustained minor injuries.

Fairfield police are investigating the accident.
