Jungle Jim's expanding to Eastgate

UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Jungle Jim's, the grocery store/tourist attraction, based in Fairfield is growing. They are adding a new location in the Eastgate Mall area.

They have an agreement with Union Township to take over the now vacated Bigg's location near Eastgate Mall. The Township's Board of Trustee's has been looking for a high profile tenant to move into the area, with the hope of increasing traffic and boosting the economy around it. They said that Jungle Jim's is the first of what they hope will be many new businesses in the area.

As for Jungle Jim's, they said even though the Bigg's location isn't quite as big as their Fairfield store, there will be plenty of the things that makes Jungle Jim's so unique.

They told 9 News they hope to start work on the new location soon and be finished sometime early in 2012.
